Applied Coaching & Performance Support
My work centres on designing daily performance environments where athletes and teams thrive. I lead integrated planning, strategy, delivery and review of performance and medical services, amplifying operational excellence and quality assurance. I take no shortcuts, and I go all‑in with the organisations and teams I work with.
I build environments from the ground up, ensuring every department function is healthy, embedded and connected. This means creating talent environments and ecosystems that support the real operational demands of modern sport: for example pitch access, medical cover, gym operations, travel timings, athlete availability, and the cultural expectations that shape how teams function.
I shape team cultures built on routines and habits that deliver consistently, combining on‑ and off‑field session design and delivery to achieve sport outcomes through collaborative programmes, clearly defined goals, shared values, leadership and teamship roles.
This is applied performance leadership: connecting sports medicine, sports science, psychology, coaching methodology and governance into a single integrated environment. In practice, this means readiness checks, injury updates, return‑to‑training protocols, and clear communication between coaches, physios and athletes. As reflected in my operational work, “I need medical cover on the field… we cannot have any medical for 20 players” — athlete welfare is a non‑negotiable foundation.
Supporting Winning Teams: Leadership, Operations & Performance Environments
I use intelligent methods and strategic planning to achieve the best results for organisations. My natural curiosity and flair mean I communicate clearly, manage projects with meticulous planning, and deliver with precision. I create performance conditions where athletes can progress naturally through different stages of development, supported by environments that understand regional context, cultural intelligence and organisational priorities.
As a senior leader and Head of Department, I assess the readiness and capability of athletes, teams, organisations and the wider ecosystem. This includes workforce development, line management across technical and operational departments and reporting to Boards and CEOs.
This work includes:
- Integrated medical‑performance coordination
- Daily communication flows that support confident decision‑making
- Clear standards for training, recovery and rehabilitation
- Culturally aware structures that protect trust, privacy and athlete confidence
- Environments that remain stable through operational change
My applied work spans elite football, Olympic sport and multi‑sport environments, supporting both established and emerging systems across national, professional and youth pathways.
Coaching & Daily Delivery
My coaching approach is grounded in applied practice. I manage complexity, identify opportunities and solve performance problems, making robust recommendations and decisions with clarity and ease for internal and external stakeholders. I build holistic programmes around athlete wellbeing and performance, focusing on both the individual and their development plans.
I increase athlete and team ability to perform and remain fit for competitions, critical periods and phases during competition and daily training. I have a demonstrable record of improving speed, power and intensity consistently to meet and exceed domestic and international competition demands. I shape sessions that reflect the physical, tactical and medical realities of the sports I support.
Training Durability: Supporting Performance Success
With visibility across organisations, teams and athletes, I identify potential issues early, directing attention and focus toward solutions. I increase physical health, athlete capacity and promote robustness, resilience and strength to cope with the intensity of training and competition.
I design and deliver daily and competition‑long injury risk‑reduction strategies. I provide specialist experience in injury reduction, early‑ to end‑stage rehabilitation, pre‑ and post‑operative phases, and return to competition (RTT/RTP/RTC). I am highly skilled in knee rehabilitation, muscle injuries and COVID return‑to‑training and competition.
I collaborate closely with medical practitioners and multidisciplinary team members using evidence‑ and experience‑based rehabilitation strategies to ensure athletes return to competition safely and sustain performance improvements.
Decisions are anchored in athlete safety and performance logic. As one exchange shows in an emerging performance environment, “Running continuously for 30 minutes can exacerbate injuries… football movements stress the muscles differently.” This reflects the precision required to protect athletes while preparing them for competition.
I support athletes through calm leadership and clear standards. I maintain consistency under pressure, protect medical integrity, and ensure athletes understand their progression, limitations and next steps. This includes bilingual communication, culturally aware decision‑making and coordination across departments. As noted in my applied work, “She is easy to work with, keen to learn, proactive… the players like her and trust her.”
International Collaboration & Athlete Pathways
I cultivate close relationships with peers to enable knowledge sharing and coordinated management of athletes moving into and out of international duty. I manage physical and physiological assessment protocols for loan athletes and trialists, ensuring data monitoring and continuity across environments.
Closing Performance Gaps: Data, Monitoring & Performance Analysis
I create high‑quality data systems and monitor internal and external training loads daily, weekly and across the season, including pre‑ and post‑match competition loads. I develop and maintain databases of athletic performance to provide reference points for progression, comparison and monitoring.
I provide performance analysis and tracking, giving insights that support athletes and coaches make informed decisions to improve performance, manage physical levels and understand tactical and technical demands.
